Rinse quinoa in cold water. Set aside.
Add olive oil to sauce pan that has been heating on medium heat. Add garlic to pan and stir quickly until fragrant, taking care not to burn garlic.
Add quinoa into pan and cook until slightly toasted. Pour in stock and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
